  In 2019, Deron and Anne moved into their gorgeous newly built house overlooking the St. Croix River. They wanted to share their beautiful home with others and volunteered to participate in the Hudson Christmas Tour of Homes. Local retailers turned their home into a Christmas wonderland. Deron and Anne hosted over 3,000 tourists during the Christmas Tour. The Hudson Chamber of Commerce put together videos and photos of the tour. A year later, a filming company contacted the Hudson Chamber to review videos and photos for a movie they wanted to film in the area. As a result, the movie producer selected Deron and Anne’s home to be featured in a movie called, A Christmas Wish in Hudson, a Hallmark style holiday romance that was purchased by Roku for streaming. The filming took place during the COVID 19 Pandemic, and the producers only allowed crew members and actors on the movie set. July 2016, Mel Zehm, franchise owner of the Western Wisconsin Squeegee Squad, cleaned the windows of Teri B, Eau Claire, WI. Their conversation quickly turned into a bond as they spoke about Teri’s family and Mel’s military experience. Teri mentioned that her son, Eric, was serving in the National Guard and was expected to return home soon. She told Mel that Eric was looking for a job for the summer. Mel hired Eric immediately after meeting him. While attending college, Eric worked for the Squeegee Squad and was eventually promoted to Field Supervisor. In a management position, Eric’s strong leadership skills set him apart. Initially supervised three technicians, Eric’s crew was eventually expanded to eight technicians. The franchise business started to grow exponentially during this period.
